Israel’s retaliation against Iran ends- direct threat successfully defeated

At approximately 2:30 AM local time on October 26, Israel launched a retaliatory operation against Iran, completing a series of “precise and targeted” airstrikes against military objectives. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement confirming the successful execution of these strikes.

In the statement, the IDF declared, “The retaliatory strikes have been completed, and the mission was successful. Our aircraft have returned safely.” The Israeli Air Force targeted “missile production facilities” in Iran, reportedly used for the missiles that were fired at Israel last year. Additionally, the IDF attacked “surface-to-air missile arrays and Iran’s additional aerial capabilities.”

IDF spokesperson Lt. Col. Richard Hecht confirmed, “We conducted targeted, precise strikes against Iranian military objectives, neutralizing a direct threat to Israel. The Israel Defense Forces have fulfilled their mission.” He also issued a warning to Iran, stating that any new attacks would compel Israel to “respond accordingly.”

As the clock struck around 7 AM local time in Iran, the Iranian state news agency, Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), reported that Israel had struck multiple military facilities across the country, causing “limited damage” in some areas.

The report highlighted that Israel targeted military sites in “Tehran Province, Khuzestan Province, and Ilam Province,” but noted that Iran’s “integrated air defense system successfully intercepted and countered this attack.”
