The Education Partnership (TEP) Centre has officially relaunched the TEP Learning Academy, a platform dedicated to enhancing the professional development of educators and education professionals in Nigeria.
At the launch event in Lagos on Wednesday, Chinenye Agwuncha, Head of Human Resources and Talent Development at the TEP Centre, shared insights into the academy’s mission. “Our revamped academy will provide specialized courses designed to address critical challenges and seize opportunities in the education sector,” she explained.
Agwuncha emphasized the diverse array of learning options available, from open enrollment workshops to customized training sessions. “This flexibility allows education professionals to choose structured courses or opt for tailored training that aligns with their specific needs. Additionally, we will offer self-paced courses, enabling participants to learn at their convenience, no matter how busy their schedules may be,” she noted.
Upcoming courses include Research and Data Collection, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), and QuickBooks Accounting for Educational Development. “These offerings are specifically designed for educators, researchers, and administrators who are looking to enhance their skills in collecting and analyzing educational data,” Agwuncha added. “Participants will gain practical knowledge of effective research methodologies and data interpretation, which will ultimately inform educational practices and policy-making.”
She stressed that the relaunch of the TEP Learning Academy represents a substantial commitment to empowering education professionals. “This platform is more than just a course provider; it’s about equipping educators with evidence-based practices, innovative tools, and the necessary knowledge to foster meaningful and sustainable change in the education sector,” she stated.
Agwuncha also mentioned that by equipping educators and professionals with these vital skills, the TEP Centre is actively contributing to the improvement of education quality in Nigeria and beyond. “The academy’s offerings are designed to be locally relevant while adhering to global best practices, ensuring we effectively respond to the unique needs of Nigeria’s educational landscape,” she concluded.
