On October 27th at 8:19 AM, Lucky Air’s HO1611 flight departed from Sanya Phoenix International Airport in Hainan, making its way to Osaka, Japan, with a stop in Nanjing. This flight marks the resumption of the Sanya-Nanjing-Osaka route, which is significant as it is the first direct connection to Japan since the reopening of the Sanya port in 2023.
According to officials at Sanya Airport, the HO1611 flight is operated by an Airbus A321neo and runs daily, departing Sanya at 8:00 AM and arriving in Osaka at 3:55 PM. The return flight, HO1612, leaves Osaka at 5:25 PM and lands back in Sanya at 12:15 AM the following day (local times).
As of now, Sanya Airport has successfully operated 25 international routes this year, connecting to 19 foreign cities. Looking ahead, the airport plans to enhance its connectivity with more international and regional flights, increase the frequency of existing routes, and improve its overall international accessibility and aviation services, all aimed at boosting the development of Sanya’s international aviation market.
