On October 19, a joint naval exercise involving Russia, Iran, and Oman commenced in the Indian Ocean, according to reports from Reuters and Turkey’s Anadolu Agency.
Simultaneously, several other nations, including Saudi Arabia, India, Thailand, Pakistan, Qatar, and Bangladesh, are participating as observers.
This exercise comes at a time of heightened tensions in the Middle East and is described as part of the participating countries’ ongoing efforts to strengthen military ties and ensure maritime security in strategically important areas around the world.
