On October 24, a reporter from China News Service in Beijing spoke with representatives from the China Automation Society about the upcoming 2024 China Automation Conference, set to take place from November 1 to 3 in Qingdao. The conference will focus on cutting-edge topics such as embodied intelligence, brain-computer interfaces, and robotic perception, under the theme “New Quality Development, Intelligent Control for the Future.”
Organized by the China Automation Society and hosted by Qingdao University of Science and Technology, the event aims to provide a premier academic platform for experts, scholars, and industry professionals in the fields of automation, information, and intelligent sciences to showcase innovative achievements and discuss future developments. The conference seeks to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration and lead advancements in automation, information technology, and intelligent sciences.
This year’s conference is expected to attract nearly 20 academicians, over 200 distinguished scholars, and representatives from more than 100 leading companies. They will engage in discussions on trending topics within the automation domain, including embodied intelligence, brain-computer interfaces, industrial large models, autonomous chip architectures, robotic perception, and intelligent control. Participants can look forward to 10 keynote presentations and nearly 50 parallel sessions to facilitate professional exchange and research sharing.
Academics will delve deeply into the forefront theories and technologies of automation, such as AI-driven smart manufacturing and all-drive system control theory. Industry representatives will examine practical solutions to critical issues and strategies for building new development patterns. International experts from institutions like the University of Cambridge and the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden will also provide a global perspective on the latest trends in automation research.
In an effort to highlight the role of young talent, the conference will feature a series of youth-centric activities. For the first time, exceptional young scholars will be invited to present their findings during conference reports. Additional parallel sessions will address the responsibilities and missions of young scientists and technology workers, as well as discussions related to the development of student associations.
Furthermore, the conference will introduce the “Spirit of Automation” and host an academic and artistic gala for the China Automation Society’s “Member Night.”
In conjunction with the conference, various exhibitions will showcase innovative products and future cluster layouts from numerous participating enterprises. The exhibition will also emphasize youth education and popular science, featuring an exhibition of outstanding popular science works by middle and primary school students, reinforcing the foundation for the future of automation and artificial intelligence innovation in China.
