On the evening of October 20, around 8 PM local time, a helicopter crash in Houston, Texas, claimed the lives of four individuals, as reported by ABC News.
According to Houston police, the private helicopter was carrying four passengers, including a child, all of whom tragically perished in the incident. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported on the ground.
Authorities indicated that while the helicopter collided with a radio tower, no other homes or buildings were damaged. However, the crash did ignite a fire that spread over two to three blocks, prompting local fire departments to respond and extinguish the flames.
The crash site is situated just a five-minute drive from the home stadium of the Houston Astros, a Major League Baseball team. An investigation into the accident is currently being conducted by Houston officials, the National Transportation Safety Board, and the Federal Aviation Administration.
